I don't quite remember all of my first coloring books, but there are a few that remain well inside my memory. I loved them! Especially whenever they included a brand new box of Crayola’s...the big box with multiple colors.

With no paper tablets available, I would usually draw on the inside of used envelopes and letters that had clean back pages. As a young teen, I hoped for a drawing kit I saw on TV so I could learn techniques like shading, shapes, and shadows. That Christmas it showed up under the tree.

All through my school years, art classes were the ones I got most excited about. By the time I got to college I studied art as minor subject. First life drawing and still life, then on to the human body, where a variety of different nude models were selected for each classroom session.

Family and work life became very busy after that, and the pencils were rarely used anymore. However, later on I discovered the digital world and taught myself Photoshop...and here I am.
